Hall of Fame Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones wore this Durham Bulls home jersey during the 1992 MiLB season, his only year playing for the A+ Braves affiliate. Jones played in 70 games with the Bulls, hitting .277 with four homers and 31 RBI before earning a promotion to AA Greenville. Jones went on to play 19 years in the Major Leagues, all with Atlanta, before retiring at the end of the 2012 MLB season. In 2018, Jones was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on his first ballot.
This white, button-down home jersey has a Bulls logo patch sewn on the left chest. Jones’ number “10” is sewn on the back of the jersey in blue and brown tackle twill. In 2013, the Bulls retired Jones’ number “10”, with the Florida native joining Joe Morgan, Bill Evers, Jackie Robinson, and Crash Davis as the only Bulls to have their numbers retired. A Wilson size “42” tag is sewn on the back inside collar. There is some staining on the right shoulder and back tail. Jones has signed the left chest of this jersey in black marker. This jersey shows moderate wear and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for game use, as well as a LOA from JSA (Z69535) for the signature.
