Finishing the season with a dominating record of 95-49, the 1992 Columbus Clippers won the International League Championship. The AAA affiliate of the New York Yankees, the Clippers’ roster was loaded with soon-to-be Major Leaguers such as Bernie Williams, J.T. Snow and Brad Ausmus. Williams batted .306 and Snow hit .313, while Hensley Meulens swatted 26 home runs with 100 runs batted in. On the mound, Sam Militello was fantastic, finishing 12-2 with a 2.29 ERA. Mike Draper recorded 37 saves.
Offered here is a Jenkins 10K 1992 Columbus Clippers International League Championship ring, featuring a blue enamel Yankees “NY” logo, on a baseball, in the center with “INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE 1992 CHAMPIONS” in relief work around the perimeter. The left shank is centered by the Yankees famed top hat and bat logo, with the name “COOPER” above and the word “PRIDE” below. Appearing on the opposite shank is a Clippers team logo, with the team name above it and their overall record of 101-51 at the bottom. “JENKINS 10K” marks appear inside the band. This ring is an approximate size 9 ½ and it weighs approximately 28.1 grams. This item comes with the consignor's purchase LOA.
