During the 1992 season, the Dallas Cowboys showed the rest of the league just how dominant “America’s Team” could be. The Cowboys outscored their opponents 409-243 en route to a 13-3 record. In the playoffs, Dallas dismantled the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers to reach the Super Bowl, where they absolutely annihilated the Buffalo Bills, 52-17. The Cowboys were led by their big three of Troy Aikman (3,445 passing yards and 23 TDs), Emmitt Smith (1,713 rushing yards and 18 TDs) and Michael Irvin (78 receptions for 1,396 yards and 7 TDs).

Rookie Clayton Holmes appeared in 15 games for Dallas that season. Offered here is the Super Bowl XXVII Champions ring that was given to Holmes, along with the original presentation box. The center of the ring features the Cowboys star with a larger, star-shaped diamond fitting inside. Surrounding that are approximately 55 diamonds, forming the shape of a football. Approximate total is two carats of diamonds. “DALLAS COWBOYS” appears in relief work. Displayed on one side of the ring is the name “HOLMES”, along with his position (CB) and number (47). Appearing in the middle is the NFL logo, beautifully finished in colored enamel, along with the Cowboys record 16-3, which includes playoff victories. The other side of the band shows “WORLD CHAMPIONS 1992” along with the Super Bowl XXVII logo and final score. This 10K Balfour ring is approximately size 10 ½ with an approximate weight of 37.5 grams. The ring is accompanied by the original wooden oval-shaped presentation box that bears the Cowboys helmet and reads “DALLAS COWBOYS SUPER BOWL XXVII CHAMPIONS”.
