Hall of Fame Outfielder Dave Winfield was born the day Bobby Thomson hit his famous "Shot Heard Round the World" and played 20 years in the major leagues before finally earning a world championship ring. That came during his only season playing outside of America, with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1992. This is the World Series trophy that was presented to the slugger after he delivered the winning, two-run double in the 11th inning of the decisive sixth game in Atlanta. Written on the gold band surrounding the base is: "WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS TORONTO BLUE JAYS 1992 DAVE WINFIELD." The press pins for the Jays and Braves are displayed at the bottom with the pennants of all 26 major league teams surrounding the crown and baseball in the center. The Dodgers flag has come loose from its pole but can be easily repaired. The trophy measures approximately 12" tall and perfectly resembles the one awarded to the winning ball club.
