The 1992 USA Olympic Basketball team may be one of the most dominating teams ever assembled in the history of sports. After a disappointing Bronze Medal in the 1988 Seoul Olympics, the US was determined to get back to the top of world basketball. For the 1992 Barcelona Games, it marked the first time that NBA players would be allowed to represent their respective countries. Seizing the opportunity, USA Basketball created what many consider, the greatest team ever assembled. This offered basketball has 11 of the 12 signatures from that historic team. All of the signatures have been penned in black marker. Two of the panels have been painted white with the “USA BASKETBALL” logo on one panel and the Olympic rings on the other. Signatures include Hall of Famers Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, John Stockton, David Robinson, Larry Bird, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen, Clyde Drexler, Chris Mullin and the signature of Christian Laetner. There is some chipping on the white paint and Stockton’s signature was partially traced over after one of the white panels was painted on. This comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (B32035).
