On April 10th, 1992, Jim Leyland earned the 500th victory of his managerial career when his Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 at Veterans Stadium. Notably, Pirates outfielder Barry Bonds slugged a solo home run to help Randy Tomlin earn the victory.

This ball is inscribed “500th Career Win / April 10, 1992 / vs / Philadelphia” to the left of William D. White’s stamped signature. Leyland signed his name beneath the inscription in blue pen. This Official National League William D. White baseball was used during the game, and exhibits good signs of use. This item comes with a LOA from Jim Leyland authenticating the game use of this baseball and a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (B54272) for his signature.
