Featured is an embarkation card used and signed by the late great Muhammad Ali. Born Cassius Clay, Ali would cement one of the greatest legacies in boxing history; reigning over the heavyweight division in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Ali was a devout civil rights activists and polarizing figure outside of the ring as well.
This featured embarkation card was used by Ali after his fight against Alvin Lewis in Dublin, Ireland, which took place on July 19, 1972. This card is stamped and dated July 20, 1972 a day after his fight. This embarkation card was used in New York, and was more than likely from Ali’s flight back into the United States. This card features Ali’s signature on the bottom right in bold black ink. This card is 6 x 4 inches and is unframed. This piece is in excellent condition and a good addition to any Ali collection. This item has been authenticated by Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication and comes with a LOA (A04475).
