Willie Davis was a wide receiver who played for eight seasons in the National Football League primarily for the Kansas City Chiefs, including being Joe Montana's go-to guy in 1995. However, Willie cut his teeth in the old World League of American Football (WLAF), helping the Orlando Thunder to the WLAF title game in 1992, losing to Sacramento 21-17. Davis caught a touchdown pass that game, and afterwards was presented with this 10K gold ring as a participant. The top features a round diamond set in the middle surrounded by 12 smaller diamonds. The outer perimeter has "ORLANDO THUNDER WORLD BOWL II 1992" in raised relief. One side has his name "DAVIS" and helmet with his number "86", while the other has his position "RECEIVER" an "WORLD LEAGUE." Engraved inside this size 10.5/22 gram ring is his name "DAVIS" and the date of the game "JUNE 6, 1992" along with "Terryberry 10KARAT". This is a scarce ring, one of the few to surface from this disbanded NFL funded league. Near Mint condition.
