Although reluctant to leave the Milwaukee Brewers, Paul Molitor experienced a career renaissance when he signed with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1993. That first season north of the border, Molitor led the AL in hits and plate appearances while hitting .332 and clubbing 22 homers. All this added up to a World Championship for the Blue Jays with Molitor hitting .500 with two doubles, two triples and two home runs. He was voted the Series MVP and then continued his hitting proficiency by hitting .341 the next year and leading the AL in singles.
