After being named “Minor League Player of the Year” in 1993, the Cleveland Indians called up Manny Ramirez to the big club. Making his debut in Yankee Stadium, Manny went 3-for-4 with a pair of homers. The following season he finished a close second for the AL’s Rookie of the Year, but 1995 was Manny’s breakout season. The Indians slugger hit .308 with 31 home runs and led the Indians to the World Series where he pounded out three more home runs.
This Cooper C243 model bat dates to Manny’s first four seasons in the Majors. The two-tone bat shows outstanding use with a handle crack. Many ball marks with stitch impressions are visible along with white leather ball scuffs and blue ink transfers. Cleat imprints are found on the front and back barrel as well as scuffs from contact with other bats. The length and weight are stamped into the knob and Ramirez’s number “24” are model number “C243” are written on the knob in silver. A great gamer from the years that forged Manny Ramirez’s reputation as one of the most feared hitters in the game. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15993) for the game use.
