Winter Auction 2017 Ending January 29

Beginning in 1982, Don Mattingly spent all 14 years of his career as a New York Yankee, bridging the gap between two pinstriped dynasties. The very model of consistency, The Hit Man hit at a .293 clip during the 1993-1995 seasons, from which this bat dates and was his final three seasons. Mattingly’s uncracked Cooper C243 model bat shows excellent game use. Ball marks and stitch impressions can be seen on the barrel and cleat imprints are found throughout. On the knob is the number “7” hand written in black marker, which was a common practice for Don Mattingly bats to use retired Yankees’ numbers on his bats. Please note, that this particular style of number has not been seen by the experts at PSA/DNA, so it cannot be confirmed that it was written by Mattingly. Mattingly has also signed this bat on the barrel in silver marker. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B10896) for the game use and a LOA from PSA/DNA (AB11546) for the signature.
