After a decade in Boston, 1993 saw Wade Boggs take the field in the pinstripes of the dreaded New York Yankees. Boggs continued to put up his Hall of Fame numbers, batting .302 in his first New York summer. In 1996 Boggs’ bat helped the Yankees win the World Series, something that eluded him during his Boston years. This Louisville Slugger B349 model bat is un-cracked and displays outstanding use. Slight checking from repeated ball contact is found on the back barrel and many ball marks are visible on all sides. Blue ink transfers can be seen with cleat marks throughout. Blue bat rack paint streaks are in evidence along with a heavy coat of pine tar on the lower handle and center brand. Boggs’ number “12” is on the knob end and the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in blue marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B11329) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10 and a LOA from JSA for the signature.
