For a time, it looked like Bo Jackson could do anything. As big a star on the gridiron as he was in the outfield, Jackson became a household name, even fronting his own line of Nike products. Then, as could be expected, being a two-sport star had its consequences. A hip injury suffered in the 1990 NFL Playoffs diminished his once boundless talents. After hip replacement, Jackson was picked up by the Chicago White Sox. While rehabbing his hip, the star promised his ailing mother he would hit a home run for her when he got back to the majors. Unfortunately, Mrs. Jackson passed away before joined the Sox, but in his debut game he did hit that home run.

This classic black pinstripe home White Sox jersey was game worn by Bo during that 1993 season. The front has the Gothic "Sox" logo in black and silver tackle twill with Jackson's number "8" in the same colors. The front shows light game use with several pine tar stains and the bottom button has the top portion missing. Size 48 Russell label is sewn in the lower left front tail along with "8 JACKSON 93" on a white strip tag. The inside collar has sweat and dirt stains from use. Back has Jackson's number "8" in black and silver tackle twill. A Comiskey Park patch is sewn on the left sleeve.

This is a very attractive gamer from a true two-sport hero and one of the greatest athletes of the 20th century. Letter of Authenticity from MEARS who have given this jersey their highest score of A10. A letter of provenance is also included stating that it was originally gifted by Bo Jackson to the Hollywood Hard Rock Cafe from which it was purchased in the late 1990's.
