Atlanta Braves legend Chipper Jones wore this navy and red Braves cap during the 1993 MLB season. Jones was a rookie in 1993, playing in eight games and recording two hits in three at-bats. Jones was slated to be the Braves starting third baseman in 1994, but a torn ACL delayed his official rookie season until 1995. Jones retired after the 2012 MLB season, and in 2018 was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame on his first ballot.

This cap has the Braves “A” logo sewn on the front and a MLB logo patch sewn on the back of the hat. Diamond Collection, New Era, and size 7 ¼ tags are sewn on the sweatband of this cap. “CJ16” is written on the underside of the brim in blue marker. Jones wore the number “16” during the 1993 season, switching to his more familiar number “10” in advance of the 1995 campaign. Jones has signed the underside of the brim in black marker, inscribing “#16” next to his signature. This cap shows moderate wear and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema. Additionally, a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A74085) covers the signature.
