Prior to his late-season call-up to the Atlanta Braves in 1993, future Hall-of-Fame third baseman Chipper Jones spent a year in the minors tearing the cover off the baseball for the franchise’s Triple-A affiliate in Richmond, Virginia. When he joined the big club, Jones got into eight games and recorded two hits in three at-bats. The Louisville Slugger R161 model bat is un-cracked and shows excellent use. There are several ball marks with stitch impressions on the left and back barrel along with black ink transfers. Red and blue bat rack paint streak can be seen and a moderate coat of pine tar is found on the handle. Chipper’s minor league uniform number “64” is written on the knob and top barrel in black marker and the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel along with the notation “1995 W.S. Champs” in black marker. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15132) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10, plus a STICKER ONLY from PSA (AD75052) for the signature.
