Eddie Murray enjoyed a successful 22-year, Hall-of-Fame career manning first base primarily for the Baltimore Orioles, where he was a seven-time All-Star, three-time Gold Glove award winner and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2003. This signed, gray button-down New York Mets jersey was worn by Murray during a productive 1993 season with the team that saw him hit .285 with 27 home runs with 100 RBI. Murray’s signature appears in bold, blue Sharpie under the “New York” logo across the chest of the jersey, which appears in blue-and-orange on white tackle twill. His name “MURRAY” and number “33” appear on the back of the jersey, also in blue-and-orange on white tackle twill, while a Mets logo patch is stitched onto the left sleeve. The front tail of the jersey features a “Russell Athletic” manufacturer’s tag with size “46.” The jersey exhibits evidence of light game use and appears to be all original. Murray’s signature comes with PSA/DNA certification number Q59841. The jersey also comes with an LOA from Dave Miedema, noted sports jersey expert.
