The 1994-95 Houston Rockets entered the season as defending NBA champions, yet scuffled to just a 47-35 regular season record (down from 58 wins the previous season) and a third-place finish in the Midwest Division. However, the Rockets caught fire once the playoffs began, defeating the Utah Jazz, Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs to reach the NBA Finals. A 4-0 sweep of the Orlando Magic gave Houston back-to-back league titles. Hakeem Olajuwon averaged 27.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 3.4 blocks for the season, while Clyde Drexler put up 21.4 points per game. Mario Elie, appearing in 81 games, scored 8.8 PPG.

Offered here is a 14K gold 1994-1995 Houston Rockets NBA championship player’s ring presented to Mario Elie. This Intergold manufactured ring features diamond-filled images of two championship trophies, while additional diamonds surround the perimeter. Around the bezel setting reads “ROCKETS 94 95 WORLD CHAMPIONS” in relief work. One side is centered by an enamel-filled NBA logo, set on a backdrop of the American flag. “BACK 2 BACK” appears at the top with “Believe it Again!” at the bottom. Elie’s name and number 17 are shown on the opposite side, along with an enamel Rockets team logo which is set inside the shape of a heart. The band – marked “INTERGOLD 14K” on the inside – shows wear, including a ding. This ring is an approximate size 13 ½ and weighs approximately 39.5 grams. This item comes with a LOA from Mario Elie.
