Hall of Fame big man Moses Malone wore this San Antonio Spurs jersey during the 1994-95 NBA season, his final year in the Association. At the time, Malone was the last remaining ABA player in the NBA, and he played in 17 games for the Spurs as the backup for David Robinson. Sports Investors Authentication has photo matched this jersey to the November 19th and December 10th games, one of which is when Malone played his final NBA road game on December 10th against the Houston Rockets. Malone was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001. This jersey is black, with “SPURS” sewn on the chest in white, black, and gray tackle twill. The “U” in “Spurs” has been replaced by a cowboy’s riding spur. Malone’s number “2” is sewn on the chest and back in white and gray tackle twill. “MALONE” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill. The sides of this jersey are accented with a silver and white stripe. A NBA logo patch is sewn on the left chest, while a “2” EXTRA LENGTH” is sewn on the inside and a Champion size “48” tag is sewn on the front left tail. This jersey comes with a STICKER ONLY from MEARS (317794) for the game use, who have graded this jersey it’s highest mark of A10. Additionally, there is a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (211001M2), who have conclusive photo matched this jersey to the two above-referenced games and the photos used for the 1994-95 Fleer #368 and Flair #304 basketball cards.
