Hall of Fame big man Moses Malone wore this San Antonio Spurs jersey during the 1994-95 NBA season, his final year in the Association. At the time, Malone was the last remaining ABA player in the NBA, and he played in 17 games for the Spurs as the backup for David Robinson. Malone played his final NBA game on December 27th, 1994 against the Charlotte Hornets, hitting an 80-foot, buzzer beating three-pointer to end his NBA career. Malone was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001.
This jersey is black, with “SPURS” sewn on the chest in white, black, and gray tackle twill. The “U” in “Spurs” has been replaced by a cowboy’s riding spur. Malone’s number “2” is sewn on the chest and back in white and gray tackle twill. “MALONE” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill. The sides of this jersey are accented with a silver and white stripe. A NBA logo patch is sewn on the left chest, while Spurs “Body Length +2” and Champion size “48” tags are sewn on the front left tail. Malone signed the back of the jersey in silver marker. This jersey, which shows light to moderate wear, comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature (C99737) and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
