Alex Rodriguez wore this gray Seattle Mariners road jersey during his rookie season, in 1994. Rodriguez, one of the most highly touted prospects in baseball history, made his debut on July 18th, 1994. Rodriguez played in 17 games in ’94, hitting two of his 696 career home runs during the Mariners strike-abbreviated season.
This button down jersey has “SEATTLE” sewn across the chest in navy blue, teal, and white tackle twill. “RODRIGUEZ” and his number “3” are sewn on the back of the jersey in navy blue and teal tackle twill. His name is sewn over a gray nameplate. A Mariners circular logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve, while a Major League Baseball 125th Anniversary patch is sewn on the right sleeve above an embroidered Russell logo. Navy blue piping runs down the chest and around the collar of this jersey. A Russell size “46” tag and a “1994” tag are sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. Rodriguez signed the back in black marker, adding the lengthy inscription “1994 Game Used / Rookie Season / 17 Games / July 18, ML Debut”. This item comes with a LOA from Alex Rodriguez.
