Presented is a 1994 Chicago Bears 75th Anniversary limited edition commemorative lithograph print with 20 signatures. The signatures, all in black marker, include Bears legends Stan Jones, Harlon Hill, Doug Atkins, Mike Singletary, Bill Wade, Jim Covert, Johnny Morris, Mike Ditka, Sid Luckman, George Blanda, Doug Buffone, Gary Fencik, Gale Sayers, Dan Hampton, George Musso, Dick Butkus, Jim McMahon, Clyde “Bulldog” Turner, George McAfee and Walter Payton. This signed litho print was published in September 1994, the 75th anniversary season for the Bears in the National Football League. The image in the 26 x 27-inch print features a painting of Chicago Bears legends arrayed in various vignettes with the Chicago Stadium columned entrance façade in the background. The artist, Tim Spransy, signed his name in black marker in the lower right of the litho print. The print is inscribed “3/75 Honorary Print In Memory of: Bronko Nagurski” in black calligraphy at the lower left. This print comes with a 15½ x 17½-inch player identification chart printed in black, navy-blue, gray and orange on ivory cardstock. This item comes with a COA from the Chicago Bears, indicated that this print is number 3 of 75 “honorary prints” in the signature series. The print is mounted in a 32 x 40-inch white with blue ticking matte with navy-blue and orange accent. Nagurski played his entire NFL career for the Bears from 1930 to 1937. At 6-foot 2-inches and 235 pounds, he was a formidable presence, and in his day, he was a dominant force, helping the Bears win several division titles and two NFL championships. He ended his eight-year stint with 3,947 rushing yards on 856 attempts, completed 36 of 80 passes, and scored a total of 236 points. Nagurski had the largest recorded NFL Championship ring size at 19 1⁄2 and wore a size-8 helmet. He was probably the largest running back of his time, bigger than most linemen of the day, often dragging multiple tacklers with him. In a time when players were expected to play on both sides of the ball, he was a standout defensive lineman as well playing a ranging tackle or "The Monster." This item comes with a LOA from the Nagurski family.
