1994 was shaping up to be an excellent year for the Houston Astros. At the time of the players strike, the ‘Stros were 66-49, only a half game back of the division leading Reds. Their playoffs hopes dashed, the Astros were able to take some solace in the fact that Jeff Bagwell was awarded the National League MVP Award for his performance in the Astros 115 games. This William D. White Official National League baseball has been signed by 29 members of the Astros, including Hall of Famers Craig Biggio and Bagwell, who signed the ball twice. Manager Terry Collins signed the sweet spot. Other signatures include Ken Caminiti, Darryl Kile, Luis Gonzalez, Mel Stottlemyre, Brian Hunter, Sid Bream, Todd Jones, Matt Galante, John Hudek, Dave Veres, Tony Eusebio, Andy Stankiewicz, Scott Servais, Andujar Cedeno, and several more.
