In 1994, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this Silver Anniversary award by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Abdul-Jabbar played collegiately for the UCLA Bruins, winning a national title under coach John Wooden in each of his three varsity seasons. His dominance was the stuff of legends, and the New York native ended his 88-game collegiate career with averages of 26.4 points and 15.5 rebounds per game. This Silver Anniversary award is printed with “National Collegiate Athletic Association / Kareem Abdul-Jabbar / University of California, Los Angeles / is recognized as one of six / Silver Anniversary Student-Athletes / Having achieved personal distinction since competing in intercollegiate athletics twenty-five years ago. / January 9, 1994 / San Antonio, Texas”. A portrait of Abdul-Jabbar and a NCAA seal are also displayed on this award. This award is displayed in a glassless 16.5 x 11.5-inch frame. It is accompanied by a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
