Hall of Famer Derek Jeter had a busy 1994 season as he worked his way up the minor league chain of the New York Yankees. Jeter played for three different teams in the Yankees’ organization in 1994 before his big-league debut in May of 1995. The first stop was for high single A Tampa Yankees of the Florida State League, where Jeter appeared in 69 games as he batted a lofty. 329 average that earned him a move up to AA and eventually AAA by season’s end and being named Minor League Player of the Year by Baseball America, The Sporting News, USA Today and Topps/NAPBL. Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera, Jeter’s teammate with the New York Yankees, played on the Tampa Yankees that same season and signed this offered baseball along with Jeter. The ball contains 24 signatures in blue ink overall, with other key signatures from Jake Gibbs and Ramiro Mendoza. The signatures are clear, and the ball is a creamy-white.
