Offered here is a game used New York Yankees hat worn by Hall of Famer Derek Jeter circa 1995-96 signed by Jeter on the under brim with a black marker. Jeter made his MLB debut for the Yankees in 1995 and would go on to win the A.L. Rookie of the Year in 1996. The six-panel hat features the interlocking "N.Y." logo in white on the front of the cap. An MLB logo appears on the back of the cap. An MLB AUTHENTIC DIAMOND COLLECTION tag rests on the inside sweatband. A New Era "5950 PRO MODEL" tag rests on the inside sweatband. A "100% WOOL SIZE 7 1/4 MADE IN U.S.A. DRY CLEAN ONLY" tag appears on the inside sweatband. Jeter signed the gray inside brim of the hat with a black marker. The signature shows elements of bleeding. The number "2" is inscribed on the inside of the hat in black marker by an unknown hand. The cap displays heavy evidence of game use and contains sweat stains on the inside sweatband, dirt on the underside brim, and faint stains throughout the entirety of the hat. The item comes with an LOA from J.T. Sports (1468) for the game use and an LOA from PSA/DNA (AH02787) for the signature.
