Offered is a rookie-season Kevin Garnett game-used Minnesota Timberwolves home jersey attributed by MEARS to Fan Appreciation Night on April 14th, 1996. Garnett, the first overall pick in the 1995 NBA Draft, scored 17 points and grabbed five boards, with two blocks, in Minnesota’s 98-91 home loss to the Denver Nuggets. Garnett, a 15-time All-Star and the 2003-04 NBA Most Valuable Player, averaged 10.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in his debut campaign. This clean white jersey features “WOLVES” and Garnett’s number “21” sewn on the chest in blue, white, and green tackle twill. “GARNETT” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue tackle twill above a green, white, and blue tackle twill “21.” A Timberwolves “Body Length +3” tag and a Champion size “48” tag are sewn on the front left tail. The “Body Length” tag has “Set 2” handwritten on the tag in black marker, and the Champion tag features “F.A.” in black marker. The jersey shows signs of moderate use and comes with a LOA from MEARS (317919) assigning the historic jersey the highest possible grade of A10. Additionally, there is a letter of provenance from the fan who received this jersey as part of the Fan Appreciation Night. Disclaimer: Game Ticket and photograph are not included with this lot.
