Presented is a 1995 Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway Charity Classic trophy. The one-night only exhibition basketball game, held during the 1995 NBA lockout, drew a sellout crowd to the Pyramid in Memphis, Tennessee and raised funds for Hardaway’s hometown’s youth sports leagues. The striking Lucite and wood trophy features a 6 x 7-inch clear Lucite pyramid at the top of a 2½ x 7 x 7-inch brown wood base. Inside the pyramid is the legend “Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway Charity Classic” in gold on black. On the front of the wooden base is a 1 x 2¾-inch gold and black metal base engraved “1995”. Hardaway played college basketball at Memphis and 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (1993-2007), where he was a four-time NBA All-Star and a two-time All-NBA First Team member. He is currently the men’s basketball head coach at his alma mater.
