Hall of Fame third baseman Chipper Jones wore this white Atlanta Braves jersey in 1995, his rookie season. Jones, who played eight games in 1993 and missed the entire 1994 season due to a knee injury, hit 23 homers with 86 RBI and 87 runs scored in 1995 as he finished second to Hideo Nomo in the National League Rookie of the Year race. Jones led the Braves to a 90-54 regular season record and the National League East Division title before dispatching the Rockies, Reds, and Indians to win the 1995 World Series. Jones would play his entire career for the Braves, retiring after the 2012 season as one of the best switch-hitters in baseball history. In 2018, Jones was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on his first ballot.

This offered Braves home jersey is a button-down with the “Braves” wordmark and a tomahawk paraph sewn on the chest in red and navy tackle twill with gold accent stitching on the tomahawk. A “30th SEASON IN ATLANTA” patch is sewn on the left sleeve. “C. Jones” is sewn across the back shoulders of the jersey in navy tackle twill over a matching white nameplate. Jones’ number “10”, since retired by the Braves, is sewn on the back of the jersey in red and navy tackle twill. A Wilson tag with attached size “44” flag is sewn on the front left tail. A “95” year swatch is sewn below the Wilson tag. This jersey displays moderate to heavy game use with some stains and soiling and Jones has signed the “0” digit on the back of the jersey in black marker and inscribed “#10” and “God Bless You Raffy!”. This jersey comes with a LOA from MEARS (317753) for the game use and has been given a very high grade of A9, plus an LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature. Please note that this item was recently authenticated by Beckett Authentication. An LOA will be pictured in this lot when it is received in our office and will be shipped to the winner.

Included with this jersey is a line-up card from Chipper’s rookie season. This line-up card is from the July 6th, 1995 game when Atlanta defeated the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers 1-0 on a walk-off single by Fred McGriff. The Braves’ lineup was printed in pencil with the order of “Grissom, Blauser, Jones, McGriff, Justice, Klesko, O’Brien, Belliard and Maddux”. The available non-starting players are also listed in pencil in the right column and the back of this card has the printed “ATLANTA STADIUM GROUND RULES”. This card is in good condition with a crease fold mark vertically down the center.
