Offered here is a game used Atlanta Braves hat worn by Greg Maddux circa 1995 and signed by the Hall of Famer with a blue marker. A pitcher really couldn't have a better year than Greg Maddux did in 1995 - 19-2 record, 1.63 ERA, and a .905 winning percentage. To say he was dominant would be an understatement; he was almost unbeatable. The Cy Young voting that fall was just a formality, and Maddux added it to the other three he'd won the previous consecutive years. That year, Maddux added three more wins in the postseason, helping lead the Braves to their first World Series title since moving south from Milwaukee in 1966.
This presented six-panel hat features the Atlanta Braves “A” logo embroidered in white on the front of the cap. An MLB logo appears on the back of the hat. An MLB AUTHENTIC DIAMOND COLLECTION tag appears on the inside sweatband. A New Era 5950 tag appears on the inside sweatband. A "100% WOOL SIZE 7 1/8 MADE IN U.S.A." tag appears on the inside sweatband. Maddux signed the underside of the red brim with a blue marker. The number "31" appears in blue marker inscribed by an unknown hand. The hat displays excellent evidence of game use and contains heavy stains on the inside sweatband, stains on the inside brim, and very faint staining on the entirety of the cap. The item comes with an LOA from J.T. Sports (1467) for the game use and an LOA from Beckett Authentication (A90225) for the signature.
