They didn't call him "Steady Eddie" for nothin' - in more than half of his 21 years in the game he hit .285 or better. In 1995, Eddie Murray hit .323 with 21 homers for Cleveland, second best in his Hall of Fame career. Murray led the Indians to their first pennant winner since 1954 and hit home runs in the ALDS, ALCS and World Series.
Murray wore this Cleveland Indians road jersey during the 1995 season. “Cleveland” is sewn on the front in red, navy blue and white tackle twill with a paraph. Navy blue piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons and on each sleeve end. The back of the jersey has “MURRAY” sewn on in red and navy blue tackle twill on a matching gray name plate, which is above his number “33” that is sewn on in red and navy blue. The left sleeve has the Chief Wahoo patch sewn on while the right sleeve has the embroidered red and blue Russell Athletic logo. The right sleeve also has markings of the Jacob’s Field patch that has been removed. The Russell Athletic size 48 tag along with a faded “95” tag are sewn on the bottom front left tail. Murray has signed his name on the back in black marker between his name and number. This jersey shows light wear and comes with a LOA from Mears for the game use, along with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AC04265), which authenticates his signature.
