Most remembered for directing the New York Yankees to four World Series titles in his 12-year stint as manager, Hall-of-Famer Joe Torre’s work in the dugout long preceded his tenure with the Bronx Bombers. Prior to managing New York, Torre led the St. Louis Cardinals from 1990-95, coaching the franchise for which he played in the late 1960's and early 1970's.
Torre wore this gray, game-used 1995 St. Louis Cardinals button-down road jersey features “Cardinals” scripted across the chest in red-on-navy blue chenille below the iconic logo featuring two redbirds perched atop a bat. “TORRE” appears across the back in red-on-navy blue tackle twill on a matching gray name plate. His number “9” appears on both sides, also in red-on-navy blue tackle twill. The inner front-left tail features a “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag with two affixed flags that read size “46” and “SET 1 1995.” The jersey shows moderate game use and comes with a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
