Graded MINT 9 by PSA. An avidly sought-after Pokemon collectible, representing an early era of the incredibly popular franchise. A true foundation element of the Pokemon specialty, this superb piece actually pre-dates Pokemon "game" pieces, instead going back to the characters' “anime” origins. Although highly specialized and frustratingly difficult to procure, this blue-backed item features the instantly familiar Pikachu, the first Pokemon mascot and the star of the beloved Pokemon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition Game Boy video game. (It should be noted that, although this rarity carries a "1995" date, that refers to copyright/trademark status. The card was originally distributed in 1997.) A must-have item (and scarce "No Number" variation) for an advanced Pokemon assembly, in pleasing Mint condition.
