In his fourth season with the Chicago Cubs, slugger Sammy Sosa had his true breakout year as he earned his first all-star selection and finished the season with 36 home runs, 119 RBI and a .268 batting average. Offered here is one of the bats used by Sosa during the 1995 season. This Rawlings/Adirondack 256B model bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, black ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. The lower handle has been taped in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip and a moderate coating of pine tar is also on the handle. Sosa’s number “21” is handwritten on the knob in black marker and the knob has the bat’s model number “256B”, order number “453” and the year “95” stamped. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B25579) for the game use and has been given a very high grade of GU 9.5.
