Seattle Mariners Hall of Fame centerfielder Ken Griffey Jr. wore this right-hand Nike batting glove circa 1996-97. In 1996, Griffey slugged 49 homers with 140 RBI, 125 runs, and a .303 batting average for the mariners. He somehow improved on this season in 1997, putting up a Triple Crown slash line of .304/56/147 while winning the American League MVP award. Griffey received all 28 first place votes, handily defeating the second-placed Tino Martinez. This batting glove is navy with teal and turquoise, and two Nike swoosh logo patches sewn on the top of the hand. “NIKE” is applied to the top of the wrist strap and a “Junior 24” tag is sewn to the bottom. Griffey has signed the top of this glove in silver marker. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (Z67421) for Griffey’s signature and a LOA from JT Sports for the game use.
