During the two seasons this bat dates to (1996-1997), Mike Piazza was experiencing his best seasons as a Los Angeles Dodger. In 1996 he hit .336 with 36 home runs and the next hit .362 with 40 homers. Both seasons he finished second in the MVP voting and edged him closer to the lifetime stats line that would lead him straight to Cooperstown. This 1996-97 Marucci World Win model bat is un-cracked and displays heavy use. Many ball marks with stitch impressions are visible along with blue bat rack paint streaks and cleat imprints. The impression of a weighted batting donut can be seen and a moderate coat of pine tar is on the handle. Piazza’s number “31” is hand written on both ends in blue marker and his initials “MP” are stamped into the knob. The Hall of Fame catcher has signed the barrel in black marker to complete this impressive gamer. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B03060) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10, along with a separate COA from PSA/DNA (4A10520) for the signature.
