Detroit Pistons Hall of Famer Joe Dumars wore this teal Pistons road uniform during the 1996-97 NBA season. Dumars made his sixth All-Star team in 1996-97, averaging 14.7 points and four assists per game for the 54-28 Pistons. The former McNeese State Cowboy retired after the 1998-99 season and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.

Offered here is a teal road jersey and shorts worn by Dumars in 1996-97. This teal jersey has the Pistons flaming horse logo printed on the front and “PISTONS” sewn on the chest in white and teal tackle twill. Dumars’ number “4” is sewn on the chest and back in white, yellow, and black tackle twill. “DUMARS” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill. The jersey is accented with red, yellow, and black piping, and the sides feature a black stripe. A gold NBA logo patch is sewn on the left chest. Pistons “Body Length +2” and Champion size “44” tags are sewn on the front left tail. Dumars has signed the lower chest of this jersey in black marker.

The shorts are teal as well, with a black, yellow, and red waistband and a black, yellow, and red stripe running down each leg. A “DP” logo patch is sewn on the left leg and a gold NBA logo patch is sewn on the right leg. A Pistons tag and a Champion size “38” tag have been sewn on the back inside waistband. Dumars’ number “4” is written on the Champion tag in black marker. This uniform set shows light wear and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema, along with a LOA from a retired employee of the Detroit Pistons. A COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication verifies the signature (D84681).
