Barry Bonds spent his fourth season with the San Francisco Giants in 1996 where he belted 42 home runs and drove in 129 runs and stole 40 bases, joining the ultra-exclusive 40/40 club, all while batting a solid .308. Bonds also led the National League in walks with 151 as NL pitchers were careful with the great slugger.

Bonds wore this road gray button-down San Francisco Giants road jersey during 1996 season. This jersey was gifted by Bonds to Hall of Famer Barry Larkin. This jersey features “SAN FRANCISCO” sewn on across the chest in black and orange tackle twill. The sleeves have black and orange stripes, while the back of the jersey has “BONDS” sewn on in black and orange tackle twill on a matching gray nameplate and the number “25” sewn on in black and orange.

The inside front left tail has the Rawlings tag and the Giants gray tag that reads “96 25”. The “44” white flag is attached to the gray team tag. This jersey displays moderate game use and Bonds has signed this jersey below his number in black marker and inscribed “’90-’92-’93 N.L. M.V.P”. This jersey comes with a letter of provenance from Hall of Fame shortstop Barry Larkin and a LOA from JSA. Please note that part of the writing has been retraced, which was likely redone by Bonds for wanting to give his friend Barry Larkin a strong signature while signing on a difficult jersey material surface. This item also comes with a Barry Larkin LOA that contains a facsimile signature from Larkin and is accompanied by a Goldin Auctions LOA confirming the product came directly from Barry Larkin.
