In the history of the NBA, only the Boston Celtics of the 1960’s was able to win three consecutive championships - that is until the Chicago Bulls of the 1990’s. Led by Michael Jordan, the Bulls won the 1991, 1992 and 1993 finals, a perfect “three-peat”. That, in and of itself, was enough to rank those Bulls teams right at the top of the list of best NBA teams of all-time. But incredibly, just three years later, the Bulls did it again! For their second “three-peat”, the Bulls took the 1996, 1997 and 1998 finals. The 1996 team might have been the best of the bunch. They began the season with a 37-0 record at home and then went on a 44 home-game winning streak. They wrapped up the season with an insane 72-10 record, blew through the playoffs and beat Seattle 4-2 in the finals.

This is the replica O’Brien Trophy that was made for the Bulls for the first of what would be another three consecutive World Championships. The O’Brien Trophy stands an impressive 24 inches tall and weighs in at almost 15 lbs. A stylized net rises from the 10 x 12 inch base, upon which “THE LARRY O’BRIEN TROPHY 1996 WORLD CHAMPIONS CHICAGO BULLS” is engraved. A regulation-size ball tops off this championship trophy. The trophy show light wear from display and this is a penultimate piece of memorabilia from what may be the greatest NBA team of all-time.
