Hall of Fame catcher Ivan Rodriguez had a solid season for the Texas Rangers in 1996 as he was selected to his fifth straight all-star game, won his fifth straight Gold Glove Award and fifth straight Silver Slugger award. Rodriguez posted a .300 batting average, 19 home runs and 86 RBI, all while leading the Rangers to a post-season appearance.
Rodriguez wore this size 48 Russell Athletic button-down Texas Rangers road jersey during the 1996 season. This jersey features “TEXAS” in Tuscan font sewn on across the chest in red, blue and white tackle twill. The Russell Athletic tag and the team tag that reads “7-48-96” are sewn on the bottom front left tail. The back of the jersey has “RODRIGUEZ” sewn on in red, blue and white tackle twill on a matching gray nameplate and his number “7” is sewn on in the same red, blue and white tackle twill. The sleeves have red piping on the sleeve ends, with the left sleeving having the Texas Rangers diamond logo patch and the right sleeve having the Russell Athletic logo embroidered in red. This jersey displays light game use and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
