This baseball was used on June 3rd, 1996, during the 800th win of Jim Leyland’s managerial career. Leyland’s Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Colorado Rockies, Leyland’s future team, by a score of 7-2 at Three Rivers Stadium. This Leonard S. Coleman Official National League baseball features the inscription “800th Major League Win June 3, 1996 7-2 vs Colorado” in black pen. Leyland signed the ball in blue pen to the left of Coleman’s stamped signature. This baseball shows excellent signs of use, and comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (B54337).
