Joe Girardi’s trade to the New York Yankees in 1996 gave the New Yorkers the behind the plate leader it needed to reach the post season. Girardi hit just under .300 that 1996 season and called the pitches that led to the Yanks’ first World Championship in 18 long seasons. This Louisville Slugger S318 model bat was used by Girardi in 1996 and is un-cracked, displaying outstanding use. The barrel shows several ball marks and bat rack paint streaks. The handle has a coat of pine tar and Girardi’s number “45” is hand written on the knob. The Yankees catcher has signed the barrel in blue marker to complete this gamer from the greatest Yankees team in history. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15124) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10, along with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature.
