This complete, December 1996 issue of Sports Illustrated For Kids contains an uncut 9-card sheet featuring Woods' inaugural appearance. Tiger, resplendent in his trademark red, "winning" shirt, occupies the prime, central position on this sheet (and is thus shielded from the routine edge "dings" that can befall the surrounding stars). Woods, who turned pro in 1996, won his first major at the 1997 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. Other athletes sharing the panel include Lisa Leslie, Jerry Stackhouse, Michael Finley, Curtis Martin, Martina Hingis, Ed Jovanovski, Chen Lu, and Doug Flutie. A superb collectible that's seldom seen intact, in pleasing, lightly circulated condition.
