During his early years, like when he wore this particular jersey in his 2nd NBA season, Hall of Famer Allen Iverson was the future of the Philadelphia 76ERS franchise. Coming out of Georgetown, his speed was unstoppable and his scoring continually on the rise. In his second season of 1997-98, Iverson averaged a solid 22 points per game, playing nearly 40 minutes per game as he continued to build the Sixers into one of the top teams in the East.

This game used size 42 Champion mesh home white 76ERS jersey was used by Iverson during the 1997-98 season. This jersey features “SIXERS” logo patch across the chest in black with red, silver, gold and blue stitching and his number “3” sewn on in black and red tackle twill. “IVERSON” and his number “3” are sewn on across the back in black-on-red tackle twill. The NBA logo is embroidered in red, white and blue on the left shoulder and the open arms and collar have a ribbed material with a red/black/gold/black/red pattern. The Champion size “42” and “NBA CHAMPION 1997-98 Designed and Tailored EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE PHILADELPHIA 76’ERS” tags are sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. Iverson signed his name in black marker below the “SIXERS” on the front of the jersey. This jersey displays light game use and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema. There is also a LOA from Chad Lews, Dallas Mavericks Equipment Manager from 1996-2002, from which this jersey was originally purchased. Given the jersey can be sourced back to the Mavericks Equipment Manager, there is a high probability that the jersey was used on February 11, 1998 when the 76ers played against Dallas.
