The second phase of Michael Jordan's career saw the Bulls superstar continue to dominate the NBA. 1997-1998 was Jordan's last season with the Bulls and he made it count: an average of 28.7 points per game, NBA All-Star First Team honors and the last of his five NBA MVP Awards were among his many achievements that season. In addition, Jordan led the Bulls to another NBA Championship, where his 2-point jump shot with five seconds left struck a dagger into the heart of the Utah Jazz. It was the second run of three consecutive championships by the Bulls and Michael Jordan's crowning moment. Jordan would retire again for the second time, playing his last season for the Bulls before coming out of retirement in 2001 for the Washington Wizards.

This timeless red Chicago Bulls road jersey was worn by the greatest basketball player of all-time during his last, triumphant season with Chicago. This jersey has been photo matched to the Bulls 94-80 victory in Game 4 of the 1998 Eastern Conference Semi-Finals against the Charlotte Hornets. Jordan led all scorers with 31 points, adding three rebounds and four assists as the Bulls took a commanding 3-1 series lead. Chicago would close out the series in five games three days later.

This jersey features “BULLS” sewn across the chest in black-on-white tackle twill. Jordan’s iconic number “23” is sewn on the front and back of the jersey in black-on-white tackle twill. “JORDAN” is sewn across the back shoulders in black-on-white tackle twill. An NBA logo patch is sewn on the left breast of the jersey. Red, black, and white bands ring the sleeve openings and the collar. A Nike size “50” tag, flanked by “NBA Authentics” and “Chicago Bulls” tags, are sewn on the front bottom left portion of the jersey. The Nike tag has a “LENGTH +4” flag attached. On the inside of the jersey adjacent to the wash tag is a “NIKE 1997-98” tag. Jordan has signed his name in silver marker diagonally on the “2” on the back of the jersey. This jersey shows light game use and comes with a LOA from the Chicago Bulls for the game use. This jersey has also been conclusively photo matched by Resolution Photomatching to the May 10th game and a LOA from Resolution Photomatching (425940) will accompany this jersey. There is also an Upper Deck hologram (BAM00012) on the number “2” on the back of the jersey for Jordan’s signature.
