Dick Enberg was presented with the Play by Play Sportscaster of the Year award in 1997. Enberg was a ubiquitous presence in American television sets at the time, lending his voice to golf, football, the Olympics, and more for NBC. This award takes the shape of a bronze-colored RCA microphone on a wooden pedestal, measuring a total of 11 inches tall. The base measures 7.5 x 5.5 inches at its widest dimensions. A placard affixed to the base is etched in high relief with “Dick Enberg / 1997 Sportscaster of the Year / Play by Play / The American Sportscasters Association”. This award comes with a LOA from the Enberg family.
