Not only did Barry Larkin live every kid’s dream of playing for his hometown team, but he also became their biggest star and helped them win a World Championship. This bat dates to Barry’s best seasons with his hometown Reds, 1991 to 1997, when he was laying the groundwork for his Hall of Fame credentials. During that period, Barry averaged ,304, hit over 100 home runs and won the 1995 MVP Award – talk about living out a boyhood dream! Barry’s Louisville Slugger I13 model bat shows excellent game use. The barrel has many ball marks which include leather scuffs, ink transfers and stitch impressions. There are bat rack paint streaks and cleat imprints throughout, and the handle has a light coat of pine tar. The knob has the bats specs and Larkin’s number “11” handwritten in black marker and the Cincinnati Kid has signed the barrel with his number “11 and “Reds ’95 N.L. M.V.P.” This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18458) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10 and LOA from JSA for the signature.
