The Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. wore this pair of Franklin batting gloves in the 1997 American League Championship Series against the Cleveland Indians. Although the Orioles fell in six games, it was not for lack of effort by Ripken, who hit a sky-high .348 with a home run, three RBI, two doubles, and four walks. Ripken has signed the wrist area of both gloves in silver marker, inscribing “Vs Clev / 97 Playoffs” on both gloves. Franklin logos are applied to the top of both gloves, and a Diamond Collection tag is located on the underside of each wrist. These come directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. with a signed LOA from Cal accompanying these game used batting gloves.
