Detroit Pistons Hall of Famer Grant Hill wore these FILA Grant Hill III sneakers (now known as the FILA 97’s) during the 1997 NBA season. Hill, who played for the Pistons from 1994-95 until 2000-01, averaged 21.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game as he continued to develop into one of the NBA’s greatest stars. Hill played in the NBA until the 2012-13 season, retiring with career averages of 16.7 points, 6 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. In 2018, Hill was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
These offered FILA Grant Hill III sneakers are unmarked with regards to size. The shoes are white, black, and red, with “FILA” embroidered on the tongue. “HILL” is embroidered inside the letters of FILA. “FILA” is applied to the outside of each heel and is embroidered in red and navy on the back of each heel. Hill has signed the toe of each shoe in black marker. These shoes come with a LOA from JSA (BB12005) and a Letter of Provenance from a former NBA ball boy.
