Former Chicago Bulls power forward Jason Caffey was selected 20th overall in the 1995 NBA Draft and would win two NBA titles while coming off of the bench for the star-laden Bulls that were led by Hall of Famers Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman. Caffey would spend his first two seasons in the NBA, averaging a respectable 7.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists during the 1996-97 season that saw the Bulls finish with a record of 69-13, just narrowly missing the 70-game mark for the second season in a row. The Bulls would go on to dispatch the Washington Bullets in three straight games in the first round, defeat the Atlanta Hawks in five games in the semifinals, and dispose of the Miami Heat in five games to head to their second consecutive NBA Finals. The Bulls would face regular season MVP Karl Malone and the Utah Jazz in the Finals, with the Bulls capturing their second consecutive title and their fifth title in seven years.

Presented here is the Chicago Bulls uniform (jersey and shorts) worn by Jason Caffey during the 1997 NBA Finals. The presented white mesh pullover jersey features black, white, and red stripes on the collar and sleeves. “BULLS” is displayed radially across the chest in red-on-black tackle twill. The number “35” appears on the chest and back of the jersey in red-on-black tackle twill. A gold “Larry O’Brien Trophy” patch indicating it was a Finals jersey appears on the jersey’s right shoulder. A gold NBA “Logoman” patch rests upon the left shoulder. A Champion “CHICAGO BULLS” tag labeled “96-97 DESIGNED AND TAILORED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHICAGO BULLS BODY LENGTH+4” is affixed to the jersey’s left front tail. A Champion size “52” manufacturer tag is located on the left front tail. “CAFFEY” appears across the back of the jersey in red-on-black tackle twill. The jersey displays light evidence of game use and contains wear on the sleeves and collar.

The second item is a pair of size 44 Champion Chicago Bulls shorts worn by Caffey during the 1997 NBA Finals. The white mesh shorts feature red trim with black and white stripes on the legs and thighs of the shorts. The Chicago Bulls logo appears on the lateral sides of the mesh shorts. A gold NBA “Logoman” patch rests on the right thigh of the shorts. A Champion “CHICAGO BULLS” tag labeled “DESIGNED & TAILORED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHICAGO BULLS” rests on the inner waistband of the shorts. A Champion size “44” manufacturer tag labeled “35” by an unknown hand in black marker rests on the back waistband of the shorts. The shorts feature excellent evidence of game use and contain a large yellow stain on the right thigh and a black stain on the center of the shorts. The game used Chicago Bulls uniform worn by Jason Caffey during the 1996-97 NBA Finals comes with an LOA from Caffey.
