1997 was the year of the Cleveland Home Run Assault – the team as a group banged out 220 round trippers including 40 by their first baseman, Jim Thome. His 1997 season-used Glomar G-353 model bat shows good game use. The barrel displays some ball marks with stitch impressions. There are cleat imprints present along the abrasions from contact with other equipment. The handle has a heavy coat of pine tar and the knob has been taped to enhance the grip. Thome’s number “25” and model number “G-353” have been handwritten on the knob in black marker and the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in silver marker, adding “HOF 18.” This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B17633) for the game use and STICKER ONLY from Tristar for the signature.
